An Aer Lingus Airbus A330-300, registration EI-DUZ performing flight EI-109 from Dublin (Ireland) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was climbing out of Dublin's runway 28 when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet due to a hydraulic failure. The aircraft entered a hold for 45 minutes while the crew worked the checklists performing an alternate gear extension and burned off fuel. The aircraft landed safely on Dublin's runway 28 about one hour after departure.
