An Expressjet Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N844AS performing flight DL-4941 from Roanoke,VA to Atlanta,GA (USA), was climbing out of Roanoke when the crew stopped the climb at FL260 about 40nm north of Greenville/Spartanburg,SC (USA) due to an electrical smell on the flightdeck and decided to divert to Greenville, where the aircraft landed safely about 25 minutes later. Emergency services did not need to intervene.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled.
