An Air Namibia Airbus A330-200, registration V5-ANO performing flight SW-285 (Dep Nov 30th) from Windhoek (Namibia) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was on approach to Frankfurt's runway 25L when the aircraft was struck by lightning. The crew continued for a safe landing.

The aircraft however was unable to depart for its return flight and is still on the ground in Frankfurt about 39 hours after landing.

The return flight SW-286 was cancelled.
