A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIPM performing flight LH-882 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Tallinn (Estonia) with 155 passengers, was enroute at FL350 about 50nm west of Berlin (Germany) when the crew decided to divert to Berlin's Tegel Airport. The aircraft landed safely about 25 minutes later.

A replacement A320-200 registration D-AIUB positioned from Frankfurt to Tegel, continued the flight and reached Tallinn with a delay of 5 hours.

The airline reported the outer pane of a windshield cracked.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Berlin 8 hours after landing.
