A Shaheen Airbus A330-300, registration AP-BKN performing flight NL-724 from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) to Peshawar (Pakistan) with 350 people on board, was on approach to PEshawar when upon gear extension a loud bang was heard and a jolt was felt, the crew received an unsafe indication for the right main gear soon followed by a green hydraulic system leak and low pressure indication. The crew aborted the approach, performed the related checklists managing to extend the landing gear and landed the aircraft safely in Peshawar.

On Nov 12th 2015 the French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin that the retraction bracket assembly was found fractured, the down lock actuator overextended with the internal seal protuded out and leaking hydraulic fluid. Pakistan's Accident Investigation Board rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
