A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-ESL performing flight FR-8086 from Riga (Latvia) to Brussels Charleroi (Belgium) with 167 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Riga's runway 36 when the crew stopped the climb at 9000 feet reporting they suspected a fuel leak in engine #1 (CFM56, left hand), they showed a fuel imbalance of 60 kg, and returned to Riga for a safe landing on runway 36 about 18 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-EVV reached Charleroi with a delay of 2 hours.

The occurrence aircraft was able to resume service after about two hours on the ground.

The airline reported the crew returned to Riga due to a suspected oil leak. The customers boarded a replacement aircraft to Charleroi. Maintenance examined the occurrence aircraft and reported there was no fault, the aircraft was returned to service.
