A Thai Smile Airbus A320-200, registration HS-TXL performing flight WE-273 from Bangkok to Hat Yai (Thailand) with 114 people on board, was climbing out of Bangkok when the crew stopped the climb at about FL200 after the passenger oxygen masks had been released as result of the cabin not pressurizing. The aircraft returned to Bangkok for a safe landing about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration HS-TXK reached Hat Yai with a delay of 3 hours.

The airline confirmed the passenger oxygen masks were released as result of an cabin pressure control malfunction.
