A Germanwings Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIPW performing flight 4U-677 from Heraklion (Greece) to Cologne/Bonn (Germany), was on approach to Cologne maintaining FL100 when the aircraft was hit by lightning, a bright flash near the left forward fuselage as well as a dull bang occurred. With no abnormal indications the crew continued for a normal landing on Cologne's runway 14L about 20 minutes later.

The aircraft was unable to continue its schedule however and is still on the ground in Cologne about 30 hours after landing.
