A Germania Boeing 737-700, registration D-ABLB performing flight ST-2316 from Dresden (Germany) to Palma Mallorca,SP (Spain) with 142 people on board, was climbing out of Dresden's runway 22 when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet reporting a trim problem. The aircraft returned to Dresden for a safe landing on runway 22 about 20 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart again after about 6.5 hours on the ground and reached Palma Mallorca with a delay of 6.5 hours.

The airline reported the failure of the electric trim.
