A United Boeing 737-700, registration N27722 performing flight UA-1541 from Houston Intercontinental,TX to Jackson,WY (USA), was on an ILS approach to Jackson Hole Airport's runway 19 descending through about 7200 feet MSL in poor weather conditions (several aircraft in the vicinity of Jackson Hole Airport requested to deviate 20-50nm around weather) at about 20:20L (02:20Z Jun 13th) when the crew went around reporting a mechanical issue. After being handed off back to center the center controller queried whether they had gone around due to weather prompting the crew to reply "no, not at all" and advising they had a mechanical problem with the flaps. The crew inquired weather conditions at PIH, Pocatello Airport,ID (USA), and decided to divert there for a safe landing about 30 minutes after the aborted approach.

The passengers were bussed to Jackson.
