A United Airbus A320-200, registration N457UA performing flight UA-594 from Washington National,DC to Denver,CO (USA) with 151 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 90nm northeast of Kansas City,MO (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Kansas City due to problems with the weather radar. The aircraft landed safely on runway 27 about 30 minutes later.

Following maintenance the occurrence aircraft departed again after about 5 hours on the ground, but needed to stop the climb at 5000 feet reporting a hydraulic system failure and returned to Kansas City another time for a safe landing on runway 19R about 25 minutes after departure.

The remainder of the flight was subsequently cancelled.
