A Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration OO-SFN performing flight SN-255 from Brussels (Belgium) to Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), was enroute at FL370 about 80nm northeast of Toulouse (France) about one hour into the flight when the crew decided to return to Brussels due to the loss of one of their three hydraulic systems indicating however they did not declare emergency. The aircraft descended to FL200 and FL120 during the return, the crew indicated they needed to enter a hold for about 1.5 hours to burn off fuel and prepare for landing, they wanted to stay clear of any clouds. The aircraft landed safely back at Brussels about 4.5 hours after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
