An Air Europa Airbus A330-200, registration EC-JPF performing flight UX-41 (dep Sep 8th) from Madrid,SP (Spain) to Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA (Argentina) with 259 passengers and 13 crew, was descending through FL250 towards Buenos Aires at 07:30L (10:30Z) when the aircraft encountered hail and received damage to the nose and both windshields. The crew continued for a safe landing on Ezeiza Airport's runway 11 about 27 minutes later.

The return flight UX-42 was cancelled.

On Sep 30th 2014 the French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin that the radome and windshield of the aircraft received damage due to hail impact while descending towards Buenos Aires. Argentina's JIAAC have opened an investigation into the occurrence rated a serious incident.

On Oct 23rd 2014 the JIAAC released a first brief preliminary information stating the occurrence was rated an incident, an investigation has been opened after the aircraft received damage to radome and windshield during a hail strike.
